4th Jun 2020

COVID-19 UPDATE.  We remain closed under current guideline in Wales but will continue to monitor the situation and hope to re-open with social distancing measures in place as soon as safe for staff and visitors.

We will be opening the gardens again under the NGS (National Garden Scheme) on  Saturday 31st May and Thursday 10th September 2020 (12-4pm both days).

The NGS has approx 3,800 gardens that open across England and Wales and the scheme has raised over £22 million for nursing, caring and gardening charities, including Marie Curie Cancer Care, Macmillian Cancer Support, Help the Hospices and Parkinsons UK, over the last 10 years.

Saturday 31st MAY:  CANCELLED

The Rhodendrons and Azaleas in the Ornamental Shrubbery should be in full bloom for this date. Please note this area has grass paths so appropriate footwear is advised. The West Garden will also be open for visitors to explore and tea and yummy homemade cakes will be on sale here.

Thursday 10th SEPTEMBER:

The West Garden beside the hall with its layout of formal beds with roses, mixed perennials and herbaceous borders should be at its best now. The Woodland Shrubbery to the East of the House will also be open to visitors to wander through the cool woodland paths with banks of mixed planting.

Entry will be £5 for adults, children are free and tea and homemade cakes will be on sale.  Booking is not required for these events but please note that the house will NOT be open on these dates.

Sorry - only Guide Dogs are permitted.
