Firewood & Biomass

Brynkinalt Estate produces well seasoned hardwood logs from our sustainably managed woodland, situated along the banks of the rivers Dee and Ceiriog.

Typically produced from either ash, oak or beech, the logs are felled and seasoned for at least 12 months prior to being cut into logs. Whether you require logs for large open fires or small domestic log burning stoves, we can provide firewood cut to your required sizes. Logs are delivered in the Chirk, Oswestry and St. Martins areas in 1m3 bags. Our woodland is managed on a sustainable basis, which is why we only sell 500 bags each winter.

In order to ensure our regular, loyal customers receive a high quality product during the 2013/14 winter, we will be operating a log club. Members will be able to book sufficient bags of logs for the winter ahead, simply taking delivery and paying when required. Surplus bags will then be made available to new customers as stocks last.

We apologise but all our logs have been allocated already for this winter but please do contact us if you would like to join our 2014/2015 log club.

Woodchip has been produced for biomass heating for the Brynkinalt Estate for the last six years, and can be supplied for heating or as garden mulch. Our new generation boilers were installed by www.woodheat.org.uk, and we regularly hold open days for those who are interested in biomass heating. Brynkinalt are one of the first biomass heating installations in the North West, and have gained considerable experience in this technology, so we are always happy to welcome those who wish to gain more knowledge on the subject.
